- I have tried a couple of programs on a c65 in c64 mode running at 3mhz.
- Games like Uriduim just become unplayable due to speed. but vector games
- seem to run smoother. e.g. Stunt car racer is better than the amiga version,
- a crap rail simulation (southern belle) which uses vector graphics runs very
- smoothly with a faster frame update but the actual game speed not increasing
- (as you would expect with an accellerated Amiga/PC), Text adventures and
- management style games become very quick. This is just a 3 times increase
- so a 20 times increase on a properly written game will be super smooth. And
- yes, I will stick my neck out, A 20mhz C64 could, in my honest opinion, run
- a doom style game in vector graphics (Oh No, not ANOTHER doom thread
- started!!)
